The Vincenzo Florio airport is located in the Birgi district, just 14 kilometers from Marsala's city center and 20 km from Trapani. The airport has good infrastructure and is connected by bus, taxi, or passenger shuttles. It has been active since the 1960s, and is open to national and international civilian traffic.

On the ground floor there are: check-in desks, waiting rooms, baggage reception belts, and access gates to the security restricted area for airport operators and PRM passengers. There are also cafeteria and reception services, the waiting room, rent a car offices, airport services office, and the emergency room.

The departure area is located on the first floor and it is equipped with a VIP lounge, boarding gate for national and international flights, and an area of almost 800 square meters intended for catering and shopping activities.

AIRLINE COMPANIES​.  The main airlines at Marsala airport are Ryanair, Alba Star, Tayaranjet, and Blue Air.  However companies such as Corendon, Lumiwings, and DAT also operate there to a lesser extent.

SERVICES.  It has kiosks, duty-free shops, bars and restaurants. It also has Wi-Fi internet, medical assistance, and bathrooms adapted for people with disabilities. There is a VIP lounge located on the first floor and a Tourist Info office located on the ground floor in the Arrivals Terminal.

PARKING.  The airport offers a car park with 829 spaces located directly in front of the terminal.  It is open 24 hours a day.  A free 30-minute stop is allowed.

Outside the car park at the entrance to the terminal, there are 18 places reserved for free parking of authorized cars for people with reduced mobility.  The seats, outlined in yellow, are indicated with international symbols and are immediately visible.  Once the dedicated external stalls are exhausted, free parking is allowed inside the main car park.

CAR RENTAL.  There are 8 car rental companies, all with offices on the ground floor and with delivery and collection points at the airport car park.
