Experience a unique New Year's Eve, full of music and party!

On the evening of December 31st, we celebrate the end of the year and the beginning of the new year. This is a holiday that traditionally represents a moment of reflection, as well as a celebration: New Year's Eve (al cenone di Capodanno) has the image of a transition to a "new life", useful for establishing "resolutions" for the new year, to expect the best from the future.

What to expect in Marsala?

The night of December 31st is without a shadow of a doubt a holiday that bursts with uncontainable joy: during this celebration, the city of Marsala will be flooded with events including discos, and dinners organized in restaurants and halls (often followed by music) and the inevitable " New Year's Eve in the Square," organized by the Municipality of Marsala with a stage in Piazza della Repubblica, with speakers and concerts waiting for midnight!

On this festive day, like many others, families gather for one of the richest dinners, serving exquisite dishes in honor of the new year. Many of these are a must at New Year's Eve dinner: lentils are the dish par excellence on all Italian tables, from north to south.

For New Year's Day lunch, the tradition continues with salty first courses, such as spaghetti or rice with seafood; as a backdrop to these dishes, fish-based appetizers, cured meats, cheeses, and so on cannot be missed! Among the most popular desserts, pandoro and panettone once again conquer the scene, leaving room also for nougat and Sicilian cassate, cannoli, buccellato, and all the miniature pastries.
